House and Senate Republican leaders will host an informational hearing on SB 1098, AN ACT MODIFYING CORPORATE LAWS RELATING TO CERTAIN RELIGIOUS CORPORATIONS, Wednesday, March 11th at 12:00pm in room 2C of the Legislative Office Building. Sign up for the hearing will begin at 9:30am in the lobby of the Legislative Office Building. Attending legislators will allow church officials to testify first and then open the hearing for public comment. All members of the General Assembly have been invited to attend this hearing.
Although the Judiciary Committee has decided to postpone the official committee public hearing on the bill , hundreds of people from across the state have made plans to come to Hartford. In light of this fact, Republican leaders feel it is extremely important to give people the opportunity to be heard.
