State Senator John A. Kissel
(R-Enfield) welcomed three doctors from Johnson-Memorial
Hospital at a taping of his monthly cable program “Senator
Kissel and Friends” yesterday evening. Joining Senator
Kissel were
Dr. Colleen Jambor, Dr.
Edward White, and Dr. Herbert DiMeola. The three spoke about
the hospital’s new comprehensive breast cancer program,
which now offers the same services for breast cancer patients
that can be provided at Hartford-area hospitals. The show
will air through the month of March on Mondays at 9:30 on
Cox Cable Channel 15.
“It
was a pleasure having all three doctors on the program and
I would like to thank them for taking the time out of their
full schedules to lend their expertise,” said Senator
Kissel. “I am hopeful that viewers will tune in to
learn about these very important new services being provided
at Johnson-Memorial for residents in our area of Connecticut.”
Dr. Jambor is the first plastic surgeon
on staff on Johnson-Memorial and will be working with women
with breast cancer who require reconstructive surgery. Dr.
White is board certified in vascular surgery while Dr. DiMeola
is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology and
is the Vice President of Medical Affairs of the Johnson
Health Network.
“This was a very interesting
program and I learned a great deal from the doctors. I think
our viewers will also learn a lot from these three fine
physicians,” concluded Senator Kissel.
Senator Kissel is a Deputy Minority
Leader and the Ranking Senator on the Judiciary Committee.
He is serving his seventh term representing the 7th district
communities of East Granby, Enfield, Granby, Somers, Suffield,
Windsor, and Windsor Locks.
