“I am thankful
to Sen. DeLuca for allowing me to continue to serve as Assistant
Minority Leader, a position I have held for the last four
years.” said Sen. Guglielmo. “I look forward
to continuing to work with him and all my colleagues in
the Senate so that we can put forth quality legislation
for all of Connecticut’s residents.”
Senator Guglielmo
has also been reappointed Ranking Senate Member of the legislature’s
Public Safety Committee. The Public Safety Committee has
cognizance of all matters relating to the Department of
Public Safety including state police, fire safety, legalized
gambling and veteran’s affairs.
In addition to those positions, Senator Guglielmo will also
continue in his role as Ranking Member of the Labor Committee
where he has served as lead Republican Senate member since
1994.
Senator Guglielmo
will remain in his position on the Finance, Revenue and
Bonding Committee where he will continue with his fight
to eliminate unnecessary corporate tax credits to help balance
the state’s budget.
“Being
selected to serve on these committees is sure to keep me
very busy this session,” said Sen. Guglielmo. “I
am honored to have the trust of my fellow caucus members
to be given the responsibility to serve in this capacity.”
