Area Legislators
To Meet With Region’s Small Business Leaders In
Shelton
Senator Dan Debicella (R-21) and members of the Valley
Legislative Delegation will meet with the region’s
small business leaders to discuss the issues that affect
them, and to discuss how the General Assembly can best
address those issues during the 2008 Legislative Session.
The Valley Legislative Delegation’s
business forum is scheduled for 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
on Friday, March 7th at the Greater Valley Chamber of
Commerce (second floor of Wachovia Bank), 900 Bridgeport
Avenue, Shelton. In addition to Senator Debicella, those
invited to attend include Senator Rob Kane (R-32), Senator
Joseph Crisco (D-17), Representative Len Greene (R-105),
Representative Linda Gentile (D-104), Representative
Themis Klarides (R-114), Representative David Labriola
(R-131), Representative Lawrence Miller (R-122), and
Representative Jason Perillo (R-113).
“The future of our state’s economy depends
upon our ability to foster a welcoming business climate
that leads to creating and keeping jobs in Connecticut.
There are a lot of ways we can do this, from expanding
the tax credits we offer, to taking a new and different
approach to how we tax and regulate businesses. We want
to hear from business leaders about what they think
the state can, and should, do to help them,” said
Senator Debicella.
Senator Debicella, the Senate ranking member of the
General Assembly’s Commerce Committee, represents
the communities of Monroe, Seymour, Shelton, and Stratford.
