Senator Cook Invites Southeastern CT Residents To Attend Legislative Hearing In Norwich
General Assembly’s Environment Committee To Hold Local Public Hearing March 13th

Senator Cathy Cook, R-Mystic, is urging Southeastern Connecticut residents to express their opinions known at a public hearing being held by the legislature’s Environment Committee at Norwich City Hall at
 7 p.m., Monday, March 13th.

“Taking time out of work to drive to Hartford is impossible for many, if not, most southeastern Connecticut residents, so I am delighted that our legislative committee is holding this hearing here. There are a number of bills on the agenda that are of special interest to our region of the state, so I urge everyone who is able to join us to take advantage of this opportunity. I hope to see all of you there,” said Senator Cook, a member of the Environment Committee.

Among several other bills on the agenda, the committee will be hearing and accepting written testimony regarding SB 643, An Act Authorizing Bonds Of The State For The Repair Of A Pedestrian Fishing Platform In Stonington, and SB 644, An Act Authorizing Bonds Of The State For The Stonington Town Fishing Fleet Docks.

Sign up to speak at the hearing, to be held in Room 335, will begin at 6 p.m. Those submitting written testimony are asked to bring 50 copies. Speakers will be limited to three minutes, with the first hour reserved for legislators, elected officials, and agency representatives.

“Information about the upcoming public hearing, as well as other legislative information, can be found on the General Assembly’s website at www.cga.gov. Or, please feel free to call my office in Hartford with any questions at 1-800-842-1421, or e-mail me at Catherine.Cook@cga.ct.gov,” said Senator Cook.
