| To The Editor:
When someone asks me to name my most important achievement,
I immediately respond: My three children.
Elizabeth Stone speaks for mothers everywhere when
she said: “Making the decision to have a child
is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart
go walking around outside your body.”
During this time of year, I can not help but reflect
on my own mother and my wonderful aunts whose warmth,
assurance and love sustained me through the most very
difficult and turbulent years of my youth. I never forget
that, although my father taught me to be tough and strong,
my mother provided the fuel that enabled me to do all
the things I never could have imagined I could do.
How many of us have found that: “Now that... my
kids are grown, I understand how much work and love
it takes to raise and to keep a family together. The
example of your strength, devotion, and patience is
now rippling through the generations. ”~Forest

I would like to take this opportunity to send out a
most heartfelt and appreciative Happy Mother’s
Day to all of the mothers in my district. Know that
your job as a mother and primary role model is the most
important, most significant calling in our society.
Your children will make the world a better place for
